About the role
Physical Therapist - Early Intervention Services
LifePath Systems is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to perform complex early intervention services. This role focuses on fostering and monitoring child progress in acquiring and mastering functional skills to address limitations resulting from disabilities or developmental delays in infants and toddlers and their families, under the authority of the Health and Human Services Commission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate as a member of interdisciplinary teams.
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and eligibility determinations.
- Develop treatment plans and provide therapeutic intervention.
- Offer consultation services in family homes and community settings.
- Review and maintain records, and perform other ECI-related duties.
- Accurately perform motor and developmental evaluations and assessments using formal testing and Informed Clinical Opinion.
- Participate in the development of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
- Provide Physical Therapy services as outlined in the IFSP.
- Deliver direct services to families in accordance with ECI productivity standards.
- Meet program timeframes and functions as a contributing team member.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate level degree in Physical Therapy.
- Licensed by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners, with current PT status and license.
- Must complete required continuing professional education and ethics hours.
- Must complete required ECI State Trainings and LPS required trainings after employment.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge of typical and atypical child development, and childhood disabilities (birth to three).
- Understanding of team and family dynamics.
- Ability to contribute discipline-specific skills and clinical judgment within an interdisciplinary team.
- Ability to work independently with initiative, discretion, independent thought, judgment, and self-motivation.
- Well-developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Strong time management/organization skills and basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to conduct discussions and formulate recommendations for developmentally appropriate treatment plans.
- Ability to comprehend and adhere to current methodologies in early intervention Physical Therapy services.
