Job Summary

The Penetration Tester role at Penetration Tester is a part-time position (1099 or Corp-to-Corp) for U.S. citizens to conduct cybersecurity assessments for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Inspector General (OIG). This role involves identifying vulnerabilities within HHS systems and applications to improve overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Penetration Testing: Execute comprehensive tests on applications, networks, and systems to identify security vulnerabilities.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed reports documenting findings, vulnerabilities, and remediation recommendations, and present these to stakeholders.
• Collaboration and Technical Assistance: Work with HHS OIG staff providing technical assistance, training, and ensuring remediation efforts are executed.
• Continuous Learning: Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

Applicants must have proven experience in penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and security analysis, with a strong understanding of security frameworks such as OWASP and NIST. Proficiency in using penetration testing tools, excellent analytical skills, and relevant certifications like CEH or OSCP are preferred.
