Job Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for financial reporting systems and vendor tools to ensure accurate, efficient report generation.
- Prepare financial statements and management/regulatory reports in accordance with GAAP and applicable requirements.
- Partner with finance and accounting teams to troubleshoot and resolve financial reporting technical issues.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, variances, root causes, and process improvement opportunities.
- Maintain and update documentation for reporting procedures, controls, and technical specifications.
- Support implementation, enhancement, and upgrades of financial reporting systems and related tooling.
- Deliver training and ongoing user support on financial reporting tools, processes, and best practices.
- Monitor adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures impacting financial reporting.
- Assist with audit readiness and provide support to internal/external auditors, including evidence gathering.
- Execute routine fund servicing transactions accurately, collaborating with operations to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
- Promote strong client and stakeholder outcomes through active listening, continuous improvement (innovation/design thinking), and vigilant cybersecurity practices to protect systems and data.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in financial reporting and/or technical support roles.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (GAAP and IFRS).
- Proficiency with financial reporting systems/tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Confluence/Unity, DFIN Arc).
- Basic coding knowledge (scripting/automation concepts).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills (reporting and system issues).
- Strong attention to detail; consistent focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends/variances, and deliver actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills; can explain complex financial topics to non-financial stakeholders.
- Collaborative, team-oriented style with effective cross-functional partnering.
- Baseline knowledge of fund servicing operations and client focus and continuous improvement (active listening; innovation/design thinking).
