Senior Hardware/Software Installation Technician (Survey Team Lead)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Hardware/Software Installation Technician (Survey Team Lead) based in the United States.

This is a senior field-based opportunity supporting a critical U.S. military IT modernization program across Army installations.
You will lead technical site surveys, assess infrastructure readiness, and translate field findings into detailed engineering and installation plans.
The role combines hands-on expertise in networking, hardware, software, structured cabling, power, and systems integration with technical leadership responsibilities.
You will serve as a key liaison between project leadership, government stakeholders, and installation teams while ensuring work meets operational and security requirements.
The position involves extensive travel, with approximately 90% of time spent on deployments across CONUS and potentially OCONUS locations in the future.
You will also mentor technicians, troubleshoot complex field issues, and ensure installations are thoroughly tested and documented.
This role is well suited to a proven DoD IT professional who enjoys hands-on technical work, field leadership, and contributing directly to mission-critical infrastructure modernization.
