Overview

The Communications Adviser role at International Youth Federation (IYF) is a remote, part-time, voluntary position based in the APAC region. The adviser supports the implementation of regional communications strategies, media outreach, and capacity building across IYF country teams.

Responsibilities

  • Regional Strategy: Develop and implement regional communications strategies aligned with IYF corporate objectives.
  • Media Outreach: Lead media engagement by building international and regional media relationships and promoting IYF success stories.
  • Capacity Building: Mentor and train communications teams in country offices; provide guidance on reputational management.
  • Business Development: Position IYF as a thought leader and support public campaigns and strategic advisories.

Experience & Requirements

Candidates should have 3-7 years communications experience within NGOs, government agencies, international organisations or similar sectors. Experience within sectors like the United Nations, USAID, or similar is essential.
