Job Summary
This position performs a variety of patient care and administrative duties to ensure the efficient operations of the clinic. The role of Medical Assistant I involves direct patient interaction and support for the clinical team.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program. Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Interim Certification required. Medical Assistant Interim Certification must be updated to a Medical Assistant Certification prior to expiration. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred; classes will be offered at ICHS and certification will be required within 3 months of hire if not current.
- Experience: One year in a healthcare setting preferred. Experience with using electronic health record (EHR) preferred. Bilingual English and Asian or Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Other Requirements: Active Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Interim Certification from Washington State DOH required.
