Project Manager
This role involves managing complex information technology solutions from origination through closeout, adhering to the ITS PMO framework and project governance guidelines. The Project Manager will be responsible for guiding project teams, managing scope, resources, schedules, budgets, and risks, and ensuring successful implementation of IT projects, particularly within public-facing applications and business process reengineering initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects and teams using Project Management Life Cycle and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Oversee multi-year projects, ensuring successful implementation of complex information technology solutions.
- Create and manage project scope, project management plans, schedules, budgets, quality plans, risks, issues, and communication plans.
- Guide project teams and negotiate resource allocations, project responsibilities, and tasking with senior management.
- Conduct regular status meetings and produce weekly/monthly status reports for all stakeholder levels.
- Facilitate project, sponsor, and executive-level meetings.
- Manage projects with 20 or more project participants.
- Support and guide business process changes, training, and transition phases.
- Ensure stakeholders' expectations are met through effective communication and reporting.
- Monitor and control risks, implementing mitigation plans as needed.

- 84 months experience following an industry-accepted Project Management methodology.
- 84 months experience in creating meeting agendas, minutes, and project communications for multi-year/cross-functional projects.
- 84 months experience in creating project management scopes, business cases, and/or project plans for multi-year/cross-functional projects.
- 84 months experience in project management maintaining and managing a multi-year/cross-functional project schedule, including milestones and resources.
- 84 months experience as a Project Manager in a public-facing application project implementation.
- 60 months experience as a Project Manager for a business process reengineering project.
- 60 months experience managing projects with 20 or more project participants.
- 24 months experience working with a New York State government agency.
