System Architect – E-commerce Platform (IT) / Freelance
Context
For a major e-commerce player in a demanding international environment, we are looking for a Senior Architect capable of designing, structuring, and ensuring the coherence of a complex, large-scale system. You will be involved in critical issues of scalability, performance, and integration, with a central role in defining architectures and their operational implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the overall architecture (functional and technical) of systems and subsystems.
- Ensure the coherence of the IS in a distributed environment (API, microservices, integrations).
- Be a key reference for structural choices (architectural patterns, integration, system breakdown).
- Ensure consideration of non-functional requirements: performance, resilience, security, scalability.
- Define the implementation path and secure the technical feasibility of initiatives.
- Work closely with the Design Authority and Tech Leads.
- Align teams on architectural standards and ensure their proper application.
Delivery & Coordination
- Frame topics upstream and challenge needs against technical constraints.
- Lead complex multi-team topics and ensure their proper orchestration.
- Contribute to the structuring of technical Epics (Enablers).
- Perform macro-estimations (impacts, dependencies, implementation trajectory).
- Be responsible for quality from the design stage ('build-in quality').
- Secure delivery by anticipating technical risks.
