Job Summary
Delta Electronics (Americas) is seeking a hands-on Electronics Lab Technician to support the development and testing of prototype power supply products. This role is focused on building, assembling, and testing hardware in a lab environment while partnering closely with engineering teams. This is an associate-level position ideal for individuals who enjoy working with their hands, troubleshooting hardware, and supporting product development in a lab setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Design PCB layout and preparation for manufacturing (as needed).
- Assemble and rework printed circuit boards (PCB), including surface-mount (SMD) and through-hole components.
- Debug and troubleshoot circuit boards and hardware issues using lab equipment.
- Perform soldering and de-soldering of electronic components.
- Create CAD 3D modeling.
- 3D printing models and mechanical assembly of prototype components.
- Support setup of lab testing for prototype power supply units.
- Operate test and measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
- Build and modifying prototype hardware, including transformers and inductor assemblies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience will be considered in lieu of degree).
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in electronics assembly, testing, or lab support.
- Strong soldering skills (SMD and through-hole components).
- Experience working with lab equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, power supply).
- Ability to read schematics and follow technical instructions.
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits theory and components.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium or similar).
- Experience with PCB prototyping systems.
- Familiarity with 3D printing and mechanical assembly.
- Experience with PCB soldering (SMD and through-hole components).
