Your Role and Mission
As a Process Engineer, your role will be to design and size the functioning of a process through the completion of various tasks such as:
- Creating and updating P&IDs / PFDs
- Conducting HAZOP reviews
- Defining process functions
- Developing interface documents that allow other trades to carry out their studies (they are counting on you)
- Analyzing feedback from operating facilities and writing summary documents
You will also need to produce documents that may include, but are not limited to:
- Technical notes (sizing of equipment such as pumps, heat exchangers, separators...)
- Operating notes (mechanical unit or mechanical equipment)
- Operating diagrams
- Instrumentation or automation specifications
- Flow diagrams
- Material and thermal balances
- Utility, reagent, and analytical balances
- Operating Perturbation Analysis Table
Examples of Projects Undertaken
- Technical note defining the new cooling network (study of the selected solution following the orientation study)
- Industrial-scale implementation of maceration and hydrolysis operations
- Studies of process impacts from the modernization of water treatment in a chemical plant
- Study and selection of a pneumatic conveying technology for powders
- Sizing and creation of a P&ID for a steam network
- Preparation of site tests and execution of tests as process and fluid test manager
- Etc.
Required or to be acquired Skills
