About the Role
Cox Automotive is transforming the automotive industry by building a connected One Marketplace. This role is central to ensuring data integrity and efficiency within this marketplace. You will identify and resolve data quality issues that impact vehicle transactions, ensuring the marketplace operates on trustworthy data. This involves capturing key metrics, defining testable questions, and collaborating with various teams to implement solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with opex, data engineering, other product teams, operations, and analytics teams to identify and address data quality problems affecting vehicle transactions.
- Translate business pain points into specific, testable questions about data quality, and design structured tests to validate and understand these issues.
- Analyze data quality issues, identify patterns of errors, assess business impact, and recommend prioritized resolution strategies.
- Develop clear product requirements and prioritize the engineering backlog to ensure underlying problems are solved.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define the product approach for data quality, including vehicle flow, data standards, escalation processes, and partner impact.
- Recommend and implement improvements for data quality management across the transaction lifecycle.
- Undertake other duties as assigned to contribute to the organization's effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Master's + 2 years, PhD + 1 year, or 16 years of experience).
- Experience working directly with software engineering teams to define requirements and deliver product changes.
- Experience partnering with data engineering, data analytics, or data operations teams on product initiatives.
- Experience managing concurrent product workstreams across multiple cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automotive, fleet, logistics, or marketplace platforms where vehicle location is critical.
- Familiarity with data movement between interconnected systems and common data quality issues at integration points.
- Familiarity with data governance approaches, data quality tools, or systems for maintaining a single consistent record.
- Product experience at a Fortune 500 or large enterprise company with multi-platform products.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range is $101,500.00 - $169,100.00. Actual base salary will depend on factors like location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The position may also be eligible for incentive programs.
Benefits include flexible paid vacation, seven paid holidays, and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually. Additional paid time off is available for bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteering, military service, and parental leave.
