Solutions Architect Team Lead
Convergint is seeking a results-driven and forward-thinking Solutions Architect Team Lead to join our Global Cloud and Data Center Vertical. You will provide technical leadership and coordination for a team focused on developing system designs, solutions, estimates, and proposal strategies for large-scale enterprise and data center opportunities. Ensure consistency and quality across all team deliverables and serve as a senior technical resource for complex projects.

What You'll Do
- Provide technical leadership and coordination for Solutions Architects and Estimators supporting the GCDC vertical.
- Guide the team in developing system designs, solutions, estimates, and proposal strategies for large-scale enterprise and data center opportunities.
- Ensure consistency and quality across solution designs, scopes of work, and estimates.
- Serve as a senior technical resource and escalation point for complex projects and specialized environments.
- Collaborate with sales and vertical leadership to align solution strategies with customer requirements and business goals.
- Mentor and guide Solutions Architects and Estimators, providing technical leadership and strategic support.
- Coordinate workload and priorities across the team to support high-value opportunities.
- Create solutions, designs, scopes of work, and specifications for large-scale, highly complex projects.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and technical discussions to assess project needs.
- Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for complex security projects, including data centers and global enterprise installations.
- Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, procurement, and operations to align estimates.
- Work with Partners to identify and apply the best technology to solutions and designs.
- Source and manage pricing from specialized vendors, subcontractors, and partners.
- Identify project risks, special handling requirements, and potential solutions.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations to clarify project scope and value proposition.
- Work with installation teams to ensure estimate accuracy.
- Apply industry knowledge of regulations and compliance requirements.
- Track project costs, risks, and margins to optimize pricing strategies.
- Ensure estimates align with company pricing strategies and market competitiveness.
- Prepare and present accurate proposals to internal and external customers.
- Perform other duties as requested or required.
What You'll Need
- 7-9 years of experience in design consulting, system design, system commissioning, estimating, project management, and/or installation for complex, large-scale electronic physical security projects.
- Expertise in access control, CCTV, and physical security systems, with a focus on large-scale enterprise, multi-site, and complex projects.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for specialized environments.
- Proficiency in advanced estimating tools, Microsoft Office, and project collaboration software.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Education & Experience
- College degree, trade school, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7-9 years of experience as detailed above.
