Consumer Marketing Manager

Condé Nast is a global media group, owner of iconic brands such as Condé Nast Traveller, AD, Vogue, GQ, The New Yorker, Glamour, Vanity Fair, and Wired. Job Description

Within the Consumer Revenue France department, the Consumer Marketing Manager will develop and retain the customer base and B2C revenues of Condé Nast France brands (Vogue, AD, GQ, and Vanity Fair) through a multi-channel acquisition and CRM strategy, primarily digital. The Consumer Marketing Manager, reporting to the Consumer France Directorate, will work closely with the Content Distribution department (Sales and Subscriptions), and mainly with the subscriptions manager.

Main Responsibilities and Missions, in Acquisition and CRM:

  • Define the strategy and deploy the acquisition roadmap to recruit new subscribers to our magazines, event attendees, and customers, primarily through various online channels: Paid Media, SEA, emailings, display, auto-promotion…
  • Manage and allocate the global acquisition budget.
  • Generate qualified traffic to our e-commerce site for subscriptions and sales, coordinate offers on this site.
  • Optimize the visibility of our campaigns.
  • Optimize ROI by channel, make necessary adjustments, optimize performance.
  • Define and implement A/B tests for continuous improvement of campaign results: wordings / creatives / channels.
  • Brief internal graphic designers or external service providers.
  • Measure, analyze, and establish performance reports of campaigns using available measurement tools.
  • Explore and propose new acquisition channels to adapt to evolving customer consumption habits.
  • Prepare and manage prospecting and loyalty email campaigns via our email sending platform; track and optimize KPIs (base pressure, open rates, click rates, conversions, CPA…).
  • Leveraging user/reader behaviors and profiles (studies/insights, subscriber base), identify marketing opportunities to develop engagement, customer retention, and maximize performance.
  • Support and coordinate locally the migration(s) to the group's various Data/CRM tools and platforms, and support the evolution of the group's Marketing and analytical tools.
  • Conduct lead generation campaigns.

In their support role to the Consumer Business, the Consumer Marketing Manager will also ensure:

  • Effective actions and support for the development of B2C turnover.
  • The consistency of our campaigns and Marketing actions with the editorial lines of our brands and the profile of our readers.
  • New proposals to develop our readership base.
  • Benchmarking of Condé Nast brands' best practices globally, as well as monitoring the competitive landscape in France.
  • An understanding of customer needs and the evolution of these needs.
  • Populating group dashboards.

Profile and Required Qualities:

  • At least 5 years of experience in digital marketing.
  • Organization, planning, and prioritization: ability to work on multiple subjects and activities simultaneously.
  • Rigor and strong analytical skills (data-driven profile).
  • Proactive, dynamic, curious, constantly seeking improvement.
  • Good knowledge of digital marketing, mastery of digital acquisition tools and their evolution.
  • Native French preferred, and fluent English.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Team spirit (many interactions with other members of the local, European, and global Consumer team).
  • Autonomy and ability to perform both operational and more strategic tasks.
  • Knowledge and experience in the media and magazine press sector would be a plus.
