About The Student Intern, IT Security & Compliance Opportunity
The Student Intern, IT Security & Compliance will enjoy a stimulating and challenging work environment with opportunities to develop skills, while working in a highly motivated team. This 16-month position is ideal for students currently enrolled in a Computer Science or Business Technology Management program who have completed their 3rd year. We are looking for a self-motivated, flexible team player who is open to learning.
Preferred Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Basic knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Basic knowledge of the IT industry
- Familiarity with Project Management techniques
- Knowledge of IT Security and cyber-security
- Some knowledge of IT processes, tools, programs
- Some degree of experience with programming
- Flexible team player with an eagerness to learn
Activities
- Involvement with design/development of IT processes and controls as well as Information Security practices
- Assist in the gathering of requirements for IT application projects - includes collecting and analyzing existing documentation, reviewing with Subject Matter Experts & writing specification documents
- Perform routine management/reporting tasks as they relate to the portfolio of applications under our control
- Participate in IT application projects and monitor activities of IT projects related to IT applications
Physical Demands
Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment, requiring extended periods of sitting, sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor, and frequent repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse).
