About the role
Logistics Manager
Carvana is seeking a motivated Logistics Manager to oversee multiple teams at their San Diego location. This full-time, salaried position offers a competitive pay range and comprehensive benefits. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, people leadership, and DOT compliance.
Schedule & Compensation
- Tuesday to Saturday schedule, 2 PM - 11 PM
- Pay Range: $66,000 - $82,500
- Full-Time Salary Position

Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day transportation operations at assigned locations in coordination with other site leaders.
- Participate in the development of site-specific goals and objectives, ensuring alignment and effective execution.
- Review and evaluate daily route schedules, addressing issues with Logistics Operations Planning and Scheduling.
- Provide mentoring, accountability, and succession planning through coaching, leadership development, training, and performance management.
- Ensure work areas meet or exceed workplace safety standards, including yard cleanliness and completing GEMBA walks.
- Ensure timely and effective communication with internal teams.
- Coordinate and monitor inventory movement through the warehouse workflow, evaluating and distributing work and assigned shifts to meet business needs.
Requirements
- Knowledge of DOT compliance/regulations
- 2+ years of people leadership experience
- 3+ years of logistics or supply chain experience
- Demonstrable experience leading or developing people, including managing CDL drivers.
- Transportation experience, which may include driving a vehicle transporter or tractor trailer, or equivalent Military experience preferred.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in related fields.
Working Conditions
- Ability to safely perform physical requirements: frequently move in and out of vehicles; stand, bend, twist, stoop, squat; walk 75’; climb ladders and ramps up to 10’; work up to 10’ above ground; sit for 10 hours; push, pull and lift 20 lbs, and periodically lift up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions: cold, hot, noisy, dusty, wet, with fumes/odors; outdoors in various weather.
- Flexibility to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to work in an office environment with extensive computer use, including sitting for up to 4+ hours.
