Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) is seeking a Family Office Analyst (FOA) to join its Capital Partners, Multi-Family Office (MFO) team in Houston. As a trusted advisor for private businesses, wealthy families, and their owners, BBH Capital Partners focuses on scalable investment strategies for long-term capital growth. The FOA plays a crucial role in supporting Relationship Managers (RMs) by acting as the primary client contact, managing day-to-day client activities, and ensuring client needs are met. This role involves handling account maintenance, resolving issues, and preparing client presentations, occasionally participating in client meetings.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Relationship Management
- Collaborate with RMs as a "trusted advisor" team, integrating asset allocation, investment advice, trust/estate planning, and specialized lending services.
- Deepen client relationships and build trust through flawless execution, frequent communication, and meeting participation.
- Coordinate daily activities for a dedicated client base, ensuring client needs are met and BBH services are delivered effectively.
- Assist RMs and Office Heads with client meeting presentations, detailing holdings, capital activity, and performance.
- Participate in prospect and client meetings, discussing BBH's service offerings.
Investment Execution
- Coordinate core portfolio activities on behalf of RMs.
- Serve as the primary client interface with BBH's central management teams.
- Identify accounts for re-balancing or re-papering, reviewing asset allocation and investment guidelines.
- Prepare client meeting materials.
- Manage non-strategic decisions such as checks, fund transfers, and gifting.
- Interact with third-party service providers.
- Troubleshoot client account issues, including portfolio reporting, client data, and mailing discrepancies.
Risk Management & Administration
- Escalate at-risk client issues to RMs as the primary day-to-day contact.
- Ensure account-level compliance and manage compliance reports (e.g., overdrafts, approved trades).
- Initiate account maintenance activities, including reviews, approvals, documentation, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee Administrative Assistant efforts in completing client requests.
- Document new account setups and fee schedules.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client account materials, such as Investment Policy Statements (IPS).
Business & Professional Leadership
- Act as a resource for questions, mentoring, and training within the team.
- Foster a positive and collaborative office atmosphere, supporting business goals.
- Represent professional behavior and etiquette as a role model.
- Manage personal time, progress, and development using internal BBH resources.
- Ensure adherence to agreed-upon client and staff terms of relationship.
- Contribute to revenue retention and growth.
- Undertake special projects across the firm, such as compliance initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.

- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills (written and oral).
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
