About the role
Executive Operations Manager
APM Terminals is seeking an experienced Executive Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate daily warehousing activities. This role involves implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards to achieve volume targets within specified timeframes. The goal is to ensure daily operations meet and exceed performance expectations and to enhance the company’s overall delivery capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing receiving and dispatching procedures for shipments.
- Assigning daily planned activities for the warehouse.
- Monitoring inventory and shipment transactions for accuracy.
- Achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring the quality of goods.
- Measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance.
- Ensuring accuracy in shipments and inventory transactions.
- Communicating job expectations and coaching employees.
- Determining staffing levels and assigning workload.
- Interfacing with customers to answer questions or solve problems.
- Maintaining item records, documenting necessary information, and utilizing reports to project warehouse status.
- Identifying areas for improvement and establishing innovative or adjusting existing work procedures and practices.
- Conferring and coordinating activities with other departments.
- Ensuring inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained.
- Monitoring Warehouse Associates to ensure safety procedures are followed when operating forklifts and other machinery.
Required Experience & Skill Sets
- Clear knowledge of warehouse operations.

- Leadership and organizational skills to run the warehouse efficiently.
- Proficiency in inventory and/or invoice software.
- Ability to remain stationed for extended periods when working on the warehouse floor.
