A Snapshot
As Procurement Manager Operations based in our HQ in Sydney, you will report to the Portfolio Category Manager – Operations, and work closely with various teams and leadership across the Asia Pacific region, making your mark in a number of ways:
- Shape the procurement strategy that ensures our facilities operate efficiently, reliably, and cost effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement across sourcing, supplier engagement, and operational procurement processes.
- Secure and manage strategic supplier agreements that support AirTrunk’s growth trajectory and evolving operational needs.
Your Day to Day
- Owning and managing end-to-end procurement activities (including RFx) for operational projects ensuring timely and compliant delivery of goods and services.
- Developing, issuing, and overseeing tender processes: scopes of work, bid packages, evaluations, recommendations and awards.
- Leading contract preparation, negotiation, execution, and ongoing supplier/contract administration.
- Supporting the development of category strategies to deliver safe, high quality and cost-effective outcomes.
- Manage a portfolio of strategic suppliers across APAC, strengthening relationships and performance.
- Conducting market research to identify cost drivers, risks, trends and opportunities.
- Ensuring all procurement activity complies with local laws, regulations and AirTrunk governance.
- Identifying, evaluating, and onboarding new suppliers to increase supply chain resilience.
- Partnering closely with Operations to align expectations, influence outcomes and support day to day operations.
- Building strong relationships across AirTrunk and effectively communicating procurement expectations and influencing stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience developing and executing procurement strategies, tendering frameworks, and standard methodologies, including high value and complex contract negotiations.
- Demonstrated commercial experience delivering operational procurement outcomes in mission critical environments (e.g. data centres, utilities, infrastructure, facilities management).
- Strong practical application of commercial and contractual principles, with the ability to solve complex procurement, risk, and supply chain challenges.
- In depth understanding of procurement and sourcing models, supplier management, and contract lifecycle management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at mid to senior levels.
- Strong stakeholder, prioritisation, and time management skills in a fast paced, evolving environment.
- Resilient, proactive, and agile, with a hands-on mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to operate autonomously, taking end‑to‑end accountability for assigned procurement categories and projects.
