The Opportunity: Technical Sales Manager Offshore Equipment
Menck is seeking a Technical Sales Manager Offshore Equipment to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis at their facility in Kaltenkirchen, Germany. Reporting to the Head of Sales, this role involves leading and coordinating contract negotiations for rental and equipment service contracts with clients in the offshore installation service sector.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Define market-specific requirements for Menck NMS and DBBC technologies, translating them into clear internal guidance.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Greennov, third parties, and customers to align technical and commercial expectations.
- Lead market introduction projects, encompassing scope definition, budgeting, planning, work-package alignment, and project management setup.
- Develop tailoring, configuration, and pricing models suitable for diverse project types utilizing NMS and DBBC solutions.
- Present Menck technologies (NMS, DBBC, MNRU) effectively to customers, stakeholders, and industry representatives.
- Support DBBC and NMS product evolution, including roadmap development and market-driven feature prioritization.
- Manage and present MNRU noise-performance results to both internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Develop the approval strategy for operating in German waters (BSH engagement) and coordinate necessary actions.
- Translate customer technical requirements into actionable inputs for internal departments and Acteon companies (e.g., PM, ENG, 2H).
- Drive internal strategic initiatives, such as preventive maintenance concepts, Predictable Lifecycle Management, and the Menck Piling Book.
- Lead market-driven product management for Rocksteady, including value proposition development, roadmap definition, and general business development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as civil, mechanical, or comparable engineering, or business administration with a strong technical understanding.
- Proven track record of comparable responsibility and position.
- Ability to manage various tasks and opportunities across an integrated team simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both internal and external.
- Strong understanding of the offshore energy markets, with the ability and drive to maintain market intelligence and interpret market directions.
- Commercial understanding of key financial drivers including revenue, profitability, accounts receivable, investment return, and cash-flow dynamics.
- A team player capable of supporting, supplementing, leading, and championing opportunities.
- Availability for travel to client offices up to 50% of the time.
- Passion for contributing to energy transition initiatives by driving sustainable product solutions.
- Fluency in both English and German, written and spoken.
- Advanced competency with Microsoft Suite products.
