About this role
As the Infrastructure Engineering Manager at Voyager, you will lead a team of 5-8 engineers responsible for facility design, construction project engineering, commissioning, and industrial engineering. Your role will involve hands-on engagement with active capital projects, establishing processes and standards for the Mission Infrastructure Engineering group, and managing relationships with external contractors. What you need
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline with 7 years of experience in facilities engineering, construction project management, or a related field OR 15 years of hands-on facilities and infrastructure engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated experience leading the end-to-end delivery of capital projects in an industrial, defense, or manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading and developing engineering teams, with demonstrated ability to build team structure and drive accountability.
- Proven ability to establish processes and standards in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
- Experience managing external contractors, construction firms, and vendors, including bid evaluation and contract oversight.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical project status into clear executive-level presentations.
Nice to have
- Experience with energetic materials, explosives, or other hazardous manufacturing facility construction.
- Proficiency in project scheduling and controls tools such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools for reviewing facility drawings.
- PMP, CCM, or equivalent project management certification.
