What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Hygiene, or a closely related technical discipline
- 15+ years of progressive EH&S experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role at a defense, aerospace, or energetics manufacturing organization
- Demonstrated expertise in DoD explosive safety programs, including working knowledge of DoD 4145.26
- Hands-on experience managing explosive safety programs for live ordnance, rocket motors, propellants, initiators, or energetic material manufacturing operations
- Knowledge of hydrazine (N2H4), monomethylhydrazine (MMH), unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine (UDMH), and/or other hypergolic propellant safety and environmental compliance requirements
- Experience managing environmental compliance programs under RCRA, CERCLA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and state equivalents in an industrial manufacturing setting
Nice to have
- Master's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification
- Experience as a DoD Explosive Safety Officer (ESO) or equivalent government/contractor explosive safety role
- Active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one; ability to support a DoD contractor environment subject to ITAR and export control regulations
- Prior experience at a prime defense contractor or aerospace OEM operating under DoD contracts
