About this role
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer – VMware & Data Center will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, development, and management of virtualization, storage, backup, and data center infrastructure within NATO's IaaS environment. Daily tasks include supporting senior technicians, performing system administration, monitoring hardware, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, and ensuring compliance with SLAs. The role requires collaboration with various teams to maintain reliable infrastructure hosting services and may involve after-hours support and travel to operational centers.

What you need
- Strong practical knowledge of data centre infrastructure, operations, technologies, and standards
- Strong experience with servers, storage systems, virtualization, and backup and restore
- Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere 7 or above
- Experience with blade and rack-mounted servers
- Knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
- Strong understanding of SAN/NAS technologies and networking fundamentals

- CompTIA Network+

- Data Centre certification
