About this role
The Principal Technician for Infrastructure & Database Administration will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining IT infrastructure services and components for NATO's communications and information technology. What you need
- Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 3 years post-related experience or a secondary educational qualification with 5 years post-related experience
- Current in-depth knowledge and practical work experience in IT infrastructure management and capacity management
- Current in-depth knowledge and recent practical experience of mainstream hypervisors and server virtualization technologies
- Current in-depth knowledge and practical work experience in Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP, Domain Naming, Group Policies, and Desktop deployment
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience on administration of Windows and/or LINUX Operating Systems
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database Management Software
Nice to have
- Practical experience as a Systems or Virtual Infrastructure Administrator in an international environment
- Proven experience in the support of NATO Logistics COI Services
- Practical experience in deploying/using/optimising mainstream Service Management Tools
- MCSA/E equivalent certifications
- ITIL v4 Foundation and Intermediate certifications
