About this role
The DFIR / XDR Tools Engineer will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining a suite of digital forensics and XDR tools within a high-security environment. This role involves collaborating with investigators and analysts to ensure effective remote acquisition and endpoint forensics, while also addressing usability improvements and supporting change management processes. The position requires on-site work at SHAPE in Mons, Belgium, and may involve some travel to other NATO sites.

What you need
- Bachelor's degree in a related field + 3 years post-related experience, or 10+ years equivalent progressive experience
- 5+ years deploying/managing forensics and XDR tools in complex environments
- 2+ years with remote acquisition tooling (Fidelis and/or F-Response)
- 2+ years with Jira and Confluence
- Strong understanding of forensically sound acquisition principles
- Windows Server/Desktop administration
Nice to have
- Experience with Red Hat Linux and fleet management via Ansible
- Vendor management experience
- Experience implementing least-privilege access, credential handling, audit logging for forensic systems
- Experience supporting military/government or large complex/heterogeneous environments
- Professional digital forensic analysis experience
