About this role

As a Structural Welder at SpaceX's Starbase facility, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and upgrading structural and fluid systems to support rocket testing campaigns. Your day-to-day tasks will include completing welding assignments, analyzing engineering drawings, and utilizing various welding techniques to assemble structural forms. What you need

  • 2+ years of experience with shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), or flux-cored arc welding (FCAW)
  • Ability to visually inspect own welds per American Welding Society (AWS) D1.1 and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B31.3 with proper training

  • Ability to safely work at heights (up to 500ft) and in confined spaces

  • Experience as a combo welder with the ability to fabricate and weld carbon structure, carbon pipe, and stainless pipe

  • Experience in overhead cranes and forklifts
  • Use of precision measuring instruments
