What you need

  • Associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering technology and 4+ years of experience with automated processes, or a high school diploma and 6+ years of experience in control room operations, plant operations, mechanic/millwright support, or instrumentation/electrical operations.
  • Experience with troubleshooting, maintaining, and calibrating process equipment such as compressors, gas analyzers, and control systems.
  • Ability to work with engineers and technicians to create operating procedures and coordinate across multiple disciplines.
  • Willingness to work outside with hand tools, including climbing ladders and operating man-lifts at heights over 100 feet.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or eligible for required authorizations.

  • Class B or higher Water Operator and/or Wastewater Operator license through TCEQ or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of process parameters and engineering units for temperature, pressure, flow, and power.
  • Ability to read and understand P&ID and schematic wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems requiring disassembly and repair of machinery components.
  • Knowledge of lock out tag out procedures, job hazard analysis, and hot work permitting.
