About this role
As a PCB Designer on the Starship team at SpaceX, you will create layouts for various in-house board designs, collaborating closely with Hardware Development Engineers throughout the design process. Your responsibilities will include performing multilayer PCB layouts, conducting simulations, producing fabrication deliverables, and improving design rules in partnership with internal teams and PCB vendors.

What you need
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering OR 3+ years of professional experience with PCB layout in lieu of a degree
- Experience with multilayer PCB layout (20+ layers)
- Ability to conduct pre- and post-layout SI/PI simulations
- Experience with DRC/ERC checks and design audits
- Proficiency in generating fabrication outputs (Gerber, ODB++, IPC-2581, drill files)
Nice to have
- 2+ years of experience with PCB layout and routing
- 1+ years of experience with ECAD libraries and library configuration management
- Experience with Mentor Xpedition and/or Altium Designer
- Experience with layout of mixed analog and digital designs
- Proficiency in Python, Altium/Mentor Xpedition scripting
