About this role
As an Automation and Controls Engineer at SpaceX, you'll be part of the Infrastructure Engineering team responsible for designing, building, operating, and maintaining automation and control systems for critical power and utility systems at Starbase, TX. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing upgrades, and developing standardized automation to support the production of the Starship. You will also mentor a team and ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards while maintaining documentation and improving processes.

What you need
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or another engineering discipline
- 1+ years of experience designing, analyzing, and working on automation and control systems
Nice to have
- 3+ years of professional experience in a similar role
- Professional Engineering (PE) license (or intention to pursue)
- Experience designing/developing HMI applications with Ignition
- Familiar with SEL, Allen Bradley and Siemens suite of control devices
- Experience developing and deploying server/client SCADA applications
