What you need
- 8+ years of relevant network, systems, or infrastructure engineering experience
- Strong understanding of IP networking, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, DNS, and internet traffic routing
- Hands-on experience operating or supporting CDN, edge, reverse-proxy, caching, load-balancing, or high-volume web-delivery infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of caching behavior, including cache-control directives, TTLs, cache keys, invalidation or purge mechanisms, and origin shielding
- Experience optimizing availability, latency, throughput, and capacity for high-traffic production services
- Strong Linux systems experience in a production environment
Nice to have
- Experience with anycast, BGP, traffic engineering, and multi-region traffic failover
- Experience with DNS-based traffic steering, geo-routing, or global load balancing
- Familiarity with DDoS mitigation techniques and origin-protection strategies
- Experience with open-source routing daemons on Linux, such as BIRD or FRR
- Experience supporting video delivery, streaming media, or other bandwidth-intensive platforms
