About this role
As an Electrical Technician - Launch at Rocket Lab, you will be integral to launch activities at the Mahia site, working closely with a team to build, test, and maintain critical launch systems for the Electron rocket. Your role will involve troubleshooting, following detailed schematics, and ensuring that launches are executed efficiently and on schedule, all while maintaining a high level of attention to detail under pressure.

What you need
- Current NZ electrical license with no restrictions
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Computer literate and able to understand basic programming
- Proven ability to read, understand and follow detailed schematics, drawings and instructions
- A high level of attention to detail
- Capable of working under pressure and to strict deadlines

- Previous experience in commercial or industrial environment
- Experience and sound understanding of Instrumentation and control systems
- Experience with data systems and equipment
- Experience with basic maintenance and repair of generators and UPS Systems
- Understanding of fluid systems – e.g. pneumatic, cryogenic, hydraulics
