About this role
As a Process & Mechanical Engineer Co-op/Intern at Re:Build Optimation, you will support engineering and design teams on various client-facing projects. Your responsibilities will include developing process flow diagrams, equipment specifications, and technical documentation, as well as utilizing CAD software for creating drawings and schematics. You will work closely with a mentor and collaborate with project managers to execute tasks effectively.

What you need
- Currently pursuing a BS and/or MS degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and personal management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced engineering environment; naturally curious
- Experience with CAD software/tools; AutoCAD 2D/3D and/or SolidWorks preferred
- Ability to be on-site at our offices in Rochester, NY and/or Rush, NY
Nice to have
- Experience with process simulation tools; ChemCAD preferred
- Prior co-op, internship, or relevant project experience supporting engineering & design of industrial equipment and/or automation solutions a plus
- Experience working with ISO9001 or similar quality system a plus
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement tools & methodologies a plus
- Minimum GPA 3.0 preferred
