About this role
As a Storage Operations Engineer at Qube Research & Technologies, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining scalable storage systems within a high-performance computing environment. You will work closely with research and trading teams, support users, and liaise with vendors for deployment and maintenance of storage infrastructure, while also handling incident management. What you need
- 4+ years of experience in storage systems administration
- Hands-on experience managing large-scale storage environments (petabyte scale preferred)
- Solid understanding of storage protocols across POSIX-compliant filesystems and S3
- Knowledge of storage benchmarking, analysis, tuning, and optimization
- Working knowledge of DevOps tooling, including Terraform, Ansible, Vault, GitLab, and Temporal
- Working knowledge of Python and/or Golang
Nice to have
- Experience with S3, NFS, NVMEoF, and RoCE
- Expertise with container technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
