What you need
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics or Equivalent
- Proven track record of solving complex power electronics reliability failures
- Working knowledge in theory of operation of common power converter topologies (inverter, buck boost converter, etc.)
- Strong grasp of PCBA-level failure physics (CTE mismatch, solder fatigue, contact resistance, insulation degradation)
- Familiarity with failure modes in common power electronics components (electrolytic caps, relays, semiconductors, magnetics)
- Working knowledge of failure analysis techniques such as optical microscopy, SEM, CSAM, X-ray, cross-sectioning and EDX
