About this role
As a Senior Staff Product Manager for eCommerce at Liftoff, you will lead the development of a new e-commerce advertising platform, guiding it from its early state through beta to general availability. Your role involves setting product strategy, defining success metrics, and collaborating with engineering and go-to-market teams to ensure the product meets market needs while maintaining high standards for traffic quality and compliance.

What you need
- 8+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time in performance advertising: DSP, retargeting platform, measurement/MMP, or ad network e-commerce products
- Hands-on depth in web and mobile identity and attribution: probabilistic matching (IP and device signals), pixels, server-to-server postbacks, and the practical constraints of browser privacy changes (ITP, fingerprinting protection) and ATT
- A track record of carrying a product from beta to GA, including at least one experience where you recommended killing or materially pivoting something based on the data
- Comfort operating in a 0-to-1 incubation environment: small, funded pilots, hands-on customer management, and shipping against explicit go/no-go criteria
- Demonstrated ML experimentation experience: you can read a confidence interval, challenge an experiment design, and make a ship/no-ship call under uncertainty
- Cross-functional leadership across engineering, ML, go-to-market, sales engineering, creative, and finance without direct authority over any of them
Nice to have
- Experience with the Shopify/e-commerce ecosystem: app approval, Customer Privacy API, webhooks, catalog/product feeds, or merchant-facing tooling. Familiarity with CAPI-style server-side integrations (Meta CAPI, Google Enhanced Conversions) also counts
- Familiarity with incrementality testing, MTA, or MMM, and the attribution debates (first-click vs. last-click, demand creation vs. demand capture) that agencies and DTC marketers actually have
- Executive-level financial fluency: you can build and defend a unit economics case to a senior audience and hold your ground under scrutiny
What you get
- Full compensation package that includes equity and health/vision/dental benefits
- Base salary ranges for this role vary by location and experience
- Opportunities for in-person team gatherings at least once per quarter
- Fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative work environment
Worth weighing
- No specific mention of remote work limitations beyond preferred time zones
- The role requires frequent collaboration with various teams without direct authority, which may require strong interpersonal skills
- The position involves significant responsibility in a new product area, which may come with high expectations and pressure
