What you need

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience with fiber network deployments, outside and inside plant fiber infrastructure

  • 8 years of experience with budgeting, forecasting costs, project reporting, capacity planning, quality assurance, equipment turn-up, testing and acceptance
  • Ability to travel between the Austin and San Antonio markets at least once a month or as needed

  • MBA or Master's degree in Technology
  • 15 years of relevant industry experience, with hands-on technical leadership and people management experience
  • Experience developing requests for proposals (RFPs), scheduling projects, cost engineering, budgeting and forecasting costs, reporting project status and costs, procurement and consulting with contractors and vendors
  • Knowledge of inside and outside plant fiber optic network infrastructure, and engineering design and construction
  • Experience in operational improvement, process/workflow development, and managing complex cross-functional projects
