What you need
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field (Junior or Senior standing preferred)
- Evidence of exceptional ability (prior projects, portfolio of work, completed products, etc.)
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety fundamentals
- Ability to assess occupational health and safety risks and apply health and safety principles to develop effective risk mitigation solutions
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills for audits, inspections, and procedure development.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with electrical safety standards such as Control of Hazardous Energy and NFPA 70E
- Hands-on or academic experience with LOTO procedures, energy isolation methods, and permit systems
- Knowledge of arc flash hazards, shock risk boundaries, and PPE selection
- Experience developing or delivering safety training or presentations
- Experience with hazard identification, risk assessments, or safety audits.
