The Budget Analyst at CSCI will support the Department of War's financial management and budget execution operations. Daily tasks include developing and executing spend plans, preparing budget reports, conducting financial analyses, and ensuring compliance with DoD financial regulations while collaborating with various government stakeholders.

What you need
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration, or a related discipline
- Three (3) or more years of experience supporting federal financial management, budgeting, accounting, or funds management activities
- Experience supporting budget execution, funds control, and financial reporting processes
- Experience preparing or supporting spend plans, monthly accruals, Status of Funds (SOF) reporting, and/or Budget Estimate Submissions (BES)
- Working knowledge of DoD Financial Management Regulations (FMR), federal budgeting principles, and appropriations law
- Experience performing financial analyses, reconciliations, and budget execution reporting
Nice to have
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Experience supporting Air Force, Defense Agency, Combatant Command, or other DoW financial management organizations
- Experience with Working Capital Fund (WCF) or reimbursable funding environments
- Experience supporting audit readiness, internal controls, corrective action plans, and financial compliance initiatives
- Proficiency with: Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMS), Defense Travel System (DTS), ADVANA, Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE), Electronic Document Access (EDA), SharePoint, Microsoft Excel (Advanced)
