What you need

  • BS in Optics, Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
  • 8+ years of technical program management and manufacturing process development experience delivering hardware products, or equivalent engineering experience with demonstrated program leadership
  • Demonstrated experience taking a module or system from concept through qualification and into mass production
  • Direct experience leading contract manufacturers and component suppliers, including on-site build support
  • Technical fluency in optics and optical manufacturing sufficient to interrogate supplier data and engineering assumptions independently
  • Experience owning hardware program schedules including tooling lead times, long-lead components, and qualification campaigns

Nice to have

  • MS in an engineering discipline, or an MBA
  • Experience with optical components, ophthalmic or prescription lenses, optical coatings, and optical metrology
  • Prior program leadership on a head-worn display, camera module, or other optics-intensive consumer or defense product
  • Working knowledge of optical manufacturing processes including injection molding, lamination, die cutting, CNC machining, coating, and active alignment
  • Experience with capacity modeling, discrete-event simulation, or manufacturing analytics platforms
