About this role
In this role, you will design mechanisms for space payloads, ensuring they can withstand launch and space conditions. You will be responsible for the entire hardware design process, from concept through to launch, including testing and prototyping. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers and create technical documentation to support your designs and findings.

What you need
- BS or higher degree in engineering or hard science
- Ability to obtain and hold U.S. Top Secret security clearance
- 5+ years of mechanism design experience with space hardware and demonstrated track record of success fielding flight hardware
- Mechatronics experience including component selection and integration
- Coding experience in Python, MATLAB, or C++
- Experience using microcontrollers for prototyping

- CAD proficiency and ability to create engineering drawings
