What you need
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.

- Demonstrated hands-on prototyping and fabrication skills with a track record of root-causing manufacturing and hardware defects.
- Strong foundation in engineering first principles (statics, dynamics, material selection, heat transfer, and structural mechanics).
Nice to have
- Experience with naval ordnance, warheads, energetic materials, DoD weapons safety boards, high-rate dynamic modeling, or live-fire arena testing.
- Experience designing tightly integrated electromechanical systems (dense PCBA packaging, active/passive thermal management, RF/EMI shielding, harness routing).
- Deep expertise in tooling design, high-volume injection molding, robotic/manual weldment design, structural bonding, or building visual standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Active U.S. Security Clearance (DoD Secret, Top Secret, or DOE Q).
- Willingness to travel for field/range testing when required (up to 25% for Lethality workstreams).
