About this role
As a Marine Operations Engineer at Anduril Industries, you will be responsible for supporting field operations and maintenance of autonomous surface vessels (ASVs). Your day-to-day tasks will include troubleshooting, repair, and operation of ASVs, conducting pre-mission testing, and coordinating with third-party vendors. You will also be involved in writing test plans, documenting operational reports, and supporting software UI design for ASV systems, while traveling approximately 50% of the time for customer-facing operations.

What you need
- Valid USCG Merchant Mariner Credential as a First Assistant Engineer (or higher) of Motor Vessels, Unlimited Horsepower, with current STCW Endorsements
- 5+ years experience operating at-sea, ideally with experience on autonomous vessels or vessels with a high degree of system automation
- Ability to adapt quickly and learn in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Knowledge of electronics troubleshooting and basic use of test and maintenance equipment
- Very organized and detail-oriented
- Demonstrated experience with development of operational procedures and equipment

- Experience operating and testing complex systems in a maritime environment
- Experience integrating surface and airborne sensors, surface vessel navigation, and communication systems
- Demonstrated experience with marine operational procedures and equipment
- Ability to speak a foreign language
- Experience with initial vessel delivery and light-off procedures and procedure development
