About this role
As the Vulnerability Assessment (VA) Team Lead for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, you will be responsible for leading vulnerability assessments to identify and prioritize weaknesses in the environment. Your role involves coordinating with engineering teams to ensure that critical vulnerabilities are remediated effectively, rather than just reported. You will also maintain an up-to-date risk picture and adapt assessment practices to keep pace with changes in the environment.

What you need
- Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
- U.S. Citizenship
- One of the following certifications: Active Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Active Certified Information Security System Professional (CISSP)
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience performing vulnerability assessments for an enterprise network
- Experience analyzing vulnerabilities and providing assessments and remediation instructions
- Knowledge of Information Systems Security principles and methods
Nice to have
- Experience leading vulnerability assessment or penetration testing work that produced actionable findings
- Experience prioritizing findings by real exploitability rather than scanner severity score
- Experience working in a federal or highly regulated environment
- Experience getting a team to fix vulnerabilities that had not caused visible problems yet
- Active CBP BI, fitness determination at another DHS component, or active DoD clearance
