Job Summary
We’re hiring a Paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. Spanish/English bilingual ability is strongly preferred—but not required. This role is built for a legal professional who takes ownership, moves cases forward, and holds themselves to elite execution standards. We’re not looking for someone who needs constant direction. We’re looking for a paralegal who can step in, take ownership, and perform at a high level in a busy practice.
The Right Candidate Is
- Experienced in family law and/or civil litigation, including trial preparation
- Organized, responsive, and detail-driven
- Able to manage deadlines and priorities without heavy supervision
- Comfortable with high standards, fast execution, and clear expectations
- Professional with clients, attorneys, court staff, and opposing counsel
- Motivated by results, service, and continuous improvement
- Spanish/English bilingual (preferred) with strong professional communication skills
- If bilingual able to communicate clearly with Spanish-speaking clients and families
- If not bilingual, confident, polished English communication is required
Responsibilities
Discovery Process
- Drafting discovery requests and responses
- Drafting discovery correspondences
- Drafting subpoenas
- Draft Motions and Pleadings
- Following up with Clients for discovery materials
- Following up with Clients for discovery needs
- Working with attorneys to ensure all of the information required for the success of the case is obtained
Case Management and Support
- Assist with the development of checklists and workflow systems
- Follow up with Legal Assistants to ensure Motions hearings are requested and calendared
- Prepare case documents
- Prepare Motion and Trial Exhibits
- Prepare Motion and Trial Notebooks
- Maintain accurate billing
- Conduct filings, including electronic filing in State and Federal Courts
- Conduct legal research
- Ensure case documents are maintained in the electronic database and client files
- Regularly conferring with the Attorney and Legal Assistant to efficiently and effectively administer cases
Qualifications
- Experienced in family law practice and litigation support
- Professional, composed, and highly effective in client communication
- Exceptionally strong in document preparation, organization, and detail management
- Fluent in the operational tools that keep a legal practice moving efficiently
- Reliable, adaptable, and calm in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to handle whatever the role requires, from substantive legal support to administrative execution
- A proactive contributor who identifies issues early and helps drive solutions
- Motivated by meaningful work and high standards of service
