Senior Project Scheduler
The Walsh Group is seeking a Senior Project Scheduler for their Building Division in Dallas, TX. Responsibilities
- Develop baseline schedules in collaboration with project management, superintendents, and subcontractors.
- Utilize best practices and scheduling software to implement, maintain, and analyze project schedules, including resource and cost loading, general sequencing, and critical path analysis.
- Manage all project controls to assess risk and ensure adherence to best practices and standards, recommending process improvements.
- Prepare complex risk and impact assessments for schedule changes and present findings to the project team.
- Analyze schedule changes and their impact on cost and timeline, ensuring version control.
- Document, analyze, and review all project change orders and delays, communicating their impact on the project timeline and cost.
- Lead project scheduling meetings with appropriate project management representation.
- Prepare and distribute detailed weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to relevant staff.
- Forecast and manage the project budget in relation to the project schedule.
- Track baselines, perform complex what-if scenarios, and develop contingency plans.
- Serve as an experienced resource for claims and mitigations.
- Produce complex modeling to ensure the scheduling system meets all project needs.
Qualifications
- Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred.
- 6-10 years of project scheduling experience required.
- Primavera experience required (P6 preferred).
- Proficiency in understanding baseline schedules, progress schedules, recovered schedules, total float, critical path, predecessors, successors, near-critical paths, float trending, percent complete, float ownership, and constraints.
- Claim experience required.
- Time impact analysis experience required.
- Significant multi-tasking abilities and solution-based thinking are essential.
- Ability to make confident, timely, and fact-based decisions across a broad range of resources.
- Demonstrated multi-tasking experience working in large teams and solving complex problems.
- Some travel may be required.
