Senior Product Manager – Tile
Position Overview: Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is a global leader in delivering flooring products. We are seeking a strategic leader for the position of Senior Product Manager – Tile to guide the product lifecycle from conception to market success. This role is responsible for market analysis, product development, and go-to-market strategies to drive growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical understanding, market insight, and leadership skills to deliver products that meet customer needs and enhance the company's market position. This position will be based in Dalton, GA, with a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with all disciplines to drive Shaw’s Tile profitability and growth.
- Conduct market research to understand trends, demands, and competitive landscapes for Tile products.
- Establish product strategy and development priorities for new Tile product introductions, guiding the PMO team from concept through launch.
- Develop and implement strategic product plans and roadmaps to achieve business goals, including market share, revenue, and profitability targets.
- Lead cross-functional teams including brand, marketing, and operations to ensure successful product launches and market penetration.
- Engage with field leadership, brand teams, and suppliers to gather feedback and identify opportunities for product improvements and new product development.
- Provide market research, cost analysis, and competitive insights to shape pricing strategies in partnership with the pricing team.
- Support brand leadership through training, product plan development, and participation in customer meetings, trade shows, and market knowledge sessions.
- Monitor and analyze product performance, market trends, and customer feedback to inform future product strategy.
- Drive innovation and lead change within the Tile category with passion and high energy.
- Work with global sourcing to develop appropriate supply partners and provide customers with necessary tools for business growth, aiming for long-term, profitable vendor relationships.
- Travel with key field salespeople to visit key customers to understand their needs and develop supportive programs.
- Manage inventory levels and turns in conjunction with sourcing, inventory management, and forecasting.
- Minimize excess inventory by monitoring levels and promoting excess with the highest possible recovery, proactively correcting issues.
- Collaborate with Marketing Technology to integrate these categories into digital marketing efforts.
- Develop and monitor key measures for the sales force.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in product management or the Tile industry.
- Understanding of the technical aspects of flooring products, including materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with the latest market trends and consumer preferences.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and with external partners.
- Proven product management capability, with experience owning product lifecycle strategy, prioritization, and cross-functional alignment.
