About the role
Project Manager - Concrete Construction
Pacific Structures, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead our high-quality concrete projects. You will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and within scope, overseeing all aspects of structural concrete construction from inception to completion. This role requires strong field and technical knowledge in structural concrete, excellent leadership, and the ability to adapt to evolving priorities. You will coordinate efforts among internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure project success.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local building codes, ordinances, and regulations, upholding the highest standards for safety and quality.
- Manage relationships with all internal and external stakeholders to define project specifications, resolve conflicts, and drive project success.
- Establish project schedules and sequencing, delegating tasks based on individual strengths and expertise.
- Lead project buyout, budget finalization, value engineering initiatives, and subcontracting processes.
- Secure and allocate all necessary resources for project completion.
- Negotiate, manage, and communicate changes to contract scope, schedule, and costs.
- Plan and execute inspections, assess compliance and quality, and minimize project risks.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and cost reporting for accuracy and consistency.
- Regularly confer with supervisors to report on compliance, quality, and productivity.
- Act as a strong team leader, fostering synergy within and across teams, and contributing to individual development and mentorship.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent field experience in concrete construction will be considered.
- 5+ years of concrete-specific experience is preferred. Candidates with a strong construction industry understanding and a desire to grow into managing large-scale structural concrete projects will be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and formwork drawings.
- Strong skills in budgeting, scheduling, cost control, contract management, and change management, particularly with self-perform labor and production.
- Proficiency with construction technology and software, including MS Office Suite, Procore, Bluebeam, On-Screen Take-Off, REVIT or similar BIM software, and project scheduling tools.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, initiative, team-building, and leadership skills.
- OSHA-30 certification is required.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
