About the role
Senior Supply Chain Manager
Oliver Healthcare Packaging is seeking an experienced Senior Supply Chain Manager for our East Coast Office facility.
Position Summary
This role is responsible for Procurement Operations within the Americas. It involves people leadership, analytics, technology advancement, and tactical operations with a diverse base of key stakeholders including Commodity Management, Logistics, Planning, Quality, Manufacturing, R&D, Marketing, Technical, and Finance. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to manage multiple high-visibility projects are essential.
The role offers location flexibility, with a preference for proximity to an existing Oliver Healthcare Packaging site. Some domestic U.S. travel is required.
People Leadership
Engage with a team of 6-7 individuals responsible for Oliver’s buying and logistics. This engagement will primarily be virtual, with occasional travel for support. You will lead, mentor, coach, and develop sourcing and procurement professionals. Establish clear expectations, team KPIs, and development plans. Manage workload prioritization and resource allocation, focusing on building organizational capabilities.
Tactical Operations & Procurement Execution
Oversee daily procurement operations for direct/indirect materials, services, and logistics. Ensure timely purchase order placement and management. Support escalation of issues and supply risks to the appropriate teams. Monitor inventory levels, shortages, and system variables to support company initiatives. Maintain operational discipline while balancing action and strategic priorities.
Technology Advancement & Process Improvement
Lead initiatives to modernize procurement and supply chain processes, tools, and workflows, primarily within SAP but open to other platforms. Optimize ERP features impacting procurement, inventory, and supplier management. Champion continuous improvement and process optimization.
Analytics and Business Insights
Develop and maintain procurement and supply KPIs and reporting metrics. Analyze spend, supplier performance, inventory trends, and operational data to identify improvement opportunities. Monitor and report on delivery performance, lead times, quality, and inventory value. Support strategic planning with data-driven recommendations. Measure and communicate the impact of improvements.
Basic Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, or Engineering.
- Experience: 5-8+ years in supply chain, sourcing, procurement, or finance. Prior leadership experience, preferably with remote/diverse teams. Experience supporting direct/indirect procurement teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred) and procurement methodologies. Advanced Excel skills.
