About the role
Network Engineer
Noblis is seeking experienced professionals to support the navy’s large enterprise networks. These roles will support critical engineering, technical, and programmatic efforts in alignment with PEO Digital, PMW 205, and NIWC Pacific requirements. Team members will work on the design, development, implementation, and sustainment of Navy IT systems, including modernization efforts such as cloud infrastructure and network convergence. Positions require collaboration with government and contractor personnel in a dynamic environment with both CONUS and OCONUS responsibilities.
The Network Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure for the Navy’s Large Enterprise Networks. This role ensures network performance, security, and scalability while aligning with Zero Trust, IPv6 migration, and AI-driven network operations initiatives within DoD environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the deployment and optimization of network infrastructure, including routing, switching, and SD-WAN technologies.
- Support IPv6 transition efforts, ensuring compliance with DoD networking mandates and interoperability standards.
- Implement network security best practices, ensuring adherence to Zero Trust principles, STIG compliance, and RMF accreditation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network performance issues, leveraging AI-driven monitoring and analytics tools.
- Support integration of cloud-based and hybrid networking solutions, ensuring seamless connectivity across enterprise environments.
- Document network configurations and maintain operational procedures to support system sustainment and troubleshooting efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 3+ years of professional IT experience overseeing hybrid software, web, and hardware environments.
- Strong foundation in network architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with enterprise security frameworks and DoD compliance requirements.
- Working knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent networking technologies.
- Must have a Secret clearance.
- US citizen.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Cisco SD-WAN, Secure Cloud Edge, and IPv6 networking.
- Familiarity with AI-driven network monitoring solutions such as Gigamon, Splunk, or Dynatrace.
- Understanding of next-gen firewalls and Zero Trust security architecture.
- Industry certifications such as Network+ or equivalent.
- Familiarity with NEN, ONE-NET, NMCI, or similar Navy IT environments.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
Posted Salary Range: USD $95,500.00 - USD $149,200.00 /Yr.
