Job Summary
Mortenson's Energy Storage Group is seeking an experienced Integrated Construction Coordinator II to implement and oversee Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) processes throughout project phases. This role requires strong communication skills to interact with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment. Success depends on flexibility, innovation, dedication, efficiency, integrity, and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and oversee VDC processes using appropriate technology platforms.
- Utilize Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D for designing optimized road and site grading models, alignments, profiles, corridors, and grading groups.
- Work with survey data and communicate with project field teams using Trimble Business Center software to deliver designs to survey equipment.
- Engage in Mortenson BIM/VDC uses, including existing conditions modeling, cost estimation, phase planning (4D), site analysis, design reviews, 3D visualization, 3D coordination, site utilization planning, construction system design, digital fabrication, 3D control planning, and record modeling.
- Serve as the point of contact for construction team members regarding VDC processes and reports throughout all construction phases.
- Document work processes to improve current company process standards.
- Assist in training on VDC processes and actively participate in Mortenson’s IDAT (Integrated Delivery Advancement Team) community of practice.
- Manage daily work planning and perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent.
- Proficiency with REVIT, Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and/or ArcGIS software.
- A minimum of 4 years of related experience.
- Survey data knowledge and/or experience is preferred; GIS data management is a plus.
- Completion of intermediate-level BIM/VDC software training.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and handle multiple project tasks.
- Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, and relevant web applications.
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong customer service skills.
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies effectively.
- Strong communication, teamwork, initiative, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Openness to change based on diverse input and feedback.
