Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Medical City Arlington is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse for their Emergency Department. This role involves a mixed shift schedule, including rotating weekends, and may offer a sign-on bonus of up to $25,000.
Job Summary And Qualifications
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team to provide comprehensive and compassionate care using nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” Your advocacy for patients and commitment to the organization's vision will contribute to an unparalleled patient experience and strong clinical outcomes.
- Assess patient pain regularly and implement effective pain management strategies.
- Perform procedures and monitoring as ordered by medical providers.
- Document care provided in the patient medical record accurately and promptly.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate their needs.
- Educate patients and families about their medical condition, treatment plan, medications, and lifestyle changes to prepare them for self-management.
What Qualifications You Will Need
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) – must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention – must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – must be obtained within 18 months of employment.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
